Abul Islam, PE, FASCE - President/CEO
Mr. Islam is the President/CEO of the firm. He has over 24 years of experience in the design and construction of major engineering projects in the areas of bridge/highway, airport, industrial/commercial facility buildings and infrastructure projects. He has managed complex engineering design and construction projects involving numerous disciplines/trades exceeding $100 million in project costs. Mr. Islam’s specialty is setting up project teams, provide constant guidance to the technical team(s) on technical, managerial and financial matters, and improve communication among all players. His diversified experience includes working for a large general contracting firm, and a number of top ENR-500 A/E firms as well as leading AI since its founding. He is a Fellow of the ASCE and a member of the Board of Directors at CBIA, Connecticut’s largest business organization. (back to top)
Parmjit Sahani, PE - Vice President
Mr. Parmjit Sahani is the Vice President of the firm. He has over 28 years of hands-on experience in civil, bridge/structural and foundation engineering design, condition inspection, construction inspection/ administration, project planning, scheduling and coordination. His diversified background makes him a versatile and knowledgeable resource in all areas of engineering. His primary responsibilities encompass project management, quality assurance/quality control aspects or projects.
Arnold Weitzman, PE - Vice President
Mr. Weitzman is the Vice President of the firm. He has over 28 years of engineering experience in design and administering the execution of projects and programs for public and private clients in various delivery formats. He has been involved in numerous civil, transportation and utility programs and projects. For the last 20 years he has undertaken numerous engineering tasks in Connecticut with ConnDOT, NYSDOT, MHD, many municipalities and Northeast Utilities. (back to top)
Aslam Siddiqui, PE - Associate Vice President
Mr. Siddiqui is the Associate Vice President of the firm. He has over 14 years of experience in performing bridge inspections, inventory, documentation of structural flag conditions, inspection of fracture critical detail and guiding and managing bridge inspection team leaders in preparing inspection and maintenance of bridges. Daniel Whittemore, PE - Associate Vice President
Mr. Whittemore is the Associate Vice President of the firm. He has over 9 years of experience in structural, civil and transportation facility engineering projects. He is also the firm’s IT Officer. (back to top)
Peter Iffland, LS - Chief Surveyor
Mr. Iffland is the Chief Land Surveyor and has over 20 years of experience as a surveyor. He has experience in boundary, topographic, bridge, railroad, highway, easement, and other types of surveys, deed and utility research and mapping projects including ALTA/ACSM. As the Chief Surveyor, Mr. Iffland supervises survey parties for all aspects of design and construction surveying and mapping. (back to top)
Akram Ahmad, PE, SE - Chief Structural Engineer
Mr. Ahmad is the Chief Structural Engineer and has more than 22 years experience in inspection, evaluation, design and rehabilitation of wood, steel and concrete structures. He is currently involved in a number of complex bridge design rehabilitation and load rating projects, including interstate bridge replacement projects. He is also a certified Structural Engineer. Basil Bantimba, PE - Principal Structural Engineer
Mr. Bantimba is a Principal Structural Engineer with the firm and has over 25 years experience in managing many large and complex bridge design rehabilitation and bridge inspection projects in New England. He has worked on many ConnDOT, MBTA, MHD, Massachusetts Turnpike Project and Massachusetts Port Authority Bridge Project as Principal Structural Engineer/Project Manager. He has led bridge inspection/bridge rehabilitation teams in Connecticut and Massachusetts over the past several years. (back to top)
Robert Bunce, PE - Principal Construction Engineer
Mr. Bunce is the Principal Construction Engineer and has over 30 years of experience in resident engineering, construction supervision, constructability reviews and construction management and claims evaluation of major highway and bridge projects, civil/site and water/wastewater projects. He is highly experienced in project scheduling, claims analysis and evaluation. He is also familiar with ConnDOT and NYSDOT office construction policies and procedures.
Shanila Aslam - Business Development Manager
