Over the years, AI has grown from a small engineering firm to a large and diverse company with the zest to take on different and challenging projects. Below are some examples of the more unique assignments we have been involved in:
VA Building Renovations, Newington, CT – AI’s first major design-build assignment. Requiring demolition of the existing building and the installation of new M/E/P and Fire Protection systems, AI is very proud to be the design-build contractor for the renovation of this 43,000SF Class A office space!
Connecticut Center for Science and Exploration – Peer Review, Hartford, CT - A key piece of Hartford’s 30 acre Adrian’s Landing riverfront development. Designed by the renowned architect Cesar Pelli, AI completed the peer review of the final design.
Emergency Repair of Hangar Doors for Westover Air Reservce Base, Chicopee, MA – As a result of having operational issues, these hangar doors were placed on restrictive use and required an investigative study. AI assumed the responsibility to perform the investigative study and made recommendations and cost estimates to obtain proper performance from the doors.
Metro-North New Haven Rail Yard Improvements, New Haven, CT – AI is proud to be providing utility and structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protections design services for this $800 million dollar project for ConnDOT as subconsultant to PB Americas.
