For the past several years AI has been involved in providing infrastructure support service to many utility/power companies. We have provided survey, civil, site, structural, M/E/P, construction inspection associated with some important utility capital projects. Last year we were selected by Northeast Utilities/Burns & McDonnell to perform aerial, topographic and property surveying as well as subsurface utility engineering (SUE) by non destructive methods and general civil/site design services for an 8.7 mile segment primarily along the Route 1 corridor in Norwalk, Darien and Stamford, Conn. This project is part of a proposed underground 115Kv transmission line with future capabilities to upgrade to a 345Kv line. We are now performing the construction inspection/observation for work on Connecticut Department of Transportation property to insure contractor compliance with Connecticut Department of Transportation standards safety and encroachment permit requirements.
