The firm’s forte is bridge engineering. Since AI’s founding in 1991, we have completed numerous NBIS bridge inspection/evaluation, bridge design and load rating projects through repeated selections for several state agencies, cities and towns in the Eastern U.S.

We assist bridge owners with Bridge Management Systems (BMS) which include field condition inspection, evaluation, load rating, inventory, emergency repair schemes and complete rehabilitation. Combined with our ability to provide design of new, as well as replacement bridges, we bring the value of extensive experience to bridge projects, whether for small local structures or complex bridges subjected to heavy traffic volume and loading. We take pride in solving problems creatively using the state of the art knowledge in design and construction. For each bridge rehabilitation/design project, we fully strive to balance structural integrity, function, construction costs, maintenance, aesthetics and economic value of the crossing.
