Sr. Civil / Structural Engineer

Duties include planning, directing and coordinating activities in the field of civil and structural engineering. Directs and oversees junior engineers and draftsmen in day to day operations and tasks. Performs bridge load rating and design, bridge inspection and inspection report writing, preparation of bridge plans, structural analysis and design, finite element modeling and analysis of special structures, foundation and retaining structure design, quantity-cost estimates.

Requires a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and three years of experience in civil engineering or related field. Must also have good knowledge of Mathcad, AutoCAD, Microstation, STAAD.Pro, SAP200, FLAC 2D, MS Excel.

Survey Party Chief

Crew Chief should have a minimum of 2 years experience running a crew and performing various types of survey projects such as boundary, topography, horizontal and vertical control runs, construction layout and GPS. Experience in record researching and CADD mapping preferred but not required. The AI survey field equipment primarily consists of TOPCON Totalstations and Static GPS receivers, auto levels, HP data collectors and TDS downloading software. Each party chief reports directly to one of the licensed land surveyors in the office.

Survey Technician/Instrument Person

The survey technician position is primarily responsible for working with a crew chief performing field survey work. Loading and unloading the survey vehicle each day with the appropriate equipment needed, operating a survey Totalstation and Data Collector, taking field notes and downloading each days work when returning to the office. A minimum of 1 year field experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right motivated individual.

Team Leader

Lead bridge inspection crews and responsible for all field activities and report completion per NBIS. Supervises other inspection staff. Must have completed 2 week bridge in-service bridge inspection course and subsequent refresher course as needed. Associates degree in Engineering required, and 5 years of bridge inspection experience required.

Civil Engineer

Design, inspect, and participate in collection and analysis of data. Design and analyze in relevant Civil Engineering discipline, CADD drafting, provide some direction to junior staff. Can act as project engineer on small projects. BS Engineering required. 5+ years of experience. MS engineering can be substituted for 1 year experience.

Works as Sr. Inspector or Chief Inspector or Resident Engineer, depending upon the size and/or degree of complexity of the project. BS in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience. PE required.
