AI Engineers, Inc. received a 2014 ACEC/CT Engineering Excellence Award for the construction inspection project, the Replacement of Amtrak Bridge over Route 1. AI will also be receiving a National Recognition Award for this project at the ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Washington, D.C. on April 29, 2014. AI Engineers is pleased to announce the promotions of Jim Hamilton, PE and Robert Gallo, PE to Associate Vice Presidents. They have both helped develop and enhance some of AI's major service departments and are key members of the management team. Congratulations to both!  
AI Engineers was recently ranked by the Hartford Business Journal as the 2nd largest Minority-Owned Business in the Hartford region!  
AI Engineering Manager, Muhammad Asif Iqbal, PE, LEED Green Associate, is a mentor for a New England Future City team. This year at the 2014 Regional Competition, held January 25th in Boston, MA, his team took home the Silver Award and two special awards, "Best Transportation System" and "Best Health". Congratulations to the following AI employees for being recognized at the holiday party as top performers in the company: Chris Chuck for Employee of the Year, Stanley Gwara, PE, LS for Manager of the Year, and Jan Pacanski, PE for the Leadership Award. The hard work and dedication that these individuals have demonstrated throughout the year is much appreciated.

Two of AI's transportation engineers, Muhammad Asif Iqbal, PE, LEED Green Associate and Muhammad Ali, recently attended the International Road Federation (IRF) World Meeting & Exhibition in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. InspectTech recently teamed up with AI to present their latest mobile inspection and asset management solution to VDOT.  
Mayor Mike Peters Pedestrian Bridge at Adriaen’s Landing was selected as the winner of the 2012 CBC Project Team Award. AI was part of this winning Project Team and provided electrical and mechanical design services. Click here for the full article in ASPIRE magazine.  
AI’s President / CEO, Abul Islam, PE, FASCE, was honored by the American Association of Bangladeshi Engineers and Architects (AaBea) with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, for his Outstanding Business Skills and Acumen.
Mr.  Islam, was also recently honored by the Asian Pacific American Coalition of CT (APAC) when he was presented with the Leadership Award and the Entrepreneurship Award in recognition of his hard work and commitment to improving Connecticut’s economy.  
AI was ranked the 7th Largest Engineering Firm in the Hartford region by Hartford Business Journal in its March 2013 issue.  
Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner, James P. Redeker, conducted a CTfastrak construction tour and project update at the future New Britain Station site, 327 Main Street, New Britain, CT, on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. A ceremonial unveiling of the first CTfastrak "Coming Soon" station sign was held as well. (click to see photos) Featured event speakers included Connecticut Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, New Britain Mayor Tim O'Brien and Central Connecticut State University President Jack Miller. AI is providing Construction Administration for Contract 1 of this project. This portion of the project is located in New Britain and begins at Main Street and running northerly to an end point south of Stanley Street.
